ABOUT THE COMPETITION
Competing, Gaming & Gambling these intertwined concepts can be found as essential part of history and mythology of the country. Even today, the gaming industry is one of the major powerhouses of entertainment and social interaction in the country. However, just as long as the concept of gaming has existed, as has the concept of gambling, even in the great epic Mahabharata, the central plot revolves around gambling. With the advent of technology, this industry has witnessed a drastic shift over the past years due to the advent in technology and expansion of globalised world.
Today, we have expanse of several online games like fantasy sports, gambling etc. At present, there is no defining law in the country governing these entities. The legality of these entities has been questioned in front of various courts every now and then and different courts have provided different interpretations. This moot court competition is aimed at providing a deeper understanding and clarity towards the legal standpoint and prospects in the future of Gaming Law in India.

GENERAL GUIDELINES:-
1st LedX Legal Edutech Pvt. Ltd. Moot Court Competition 2022 shall be held virtually from April 14th 2022 – April 17th 2022. The official language of the competition shall be English language.
The Oral Rounds for the competition will take place virtually via Airmeet platform.
The Soft Copy of Compendium & memorials shall be mailed to competition@ledx.law in pdf format along with the team competition code that will be provided to you in the confirmation mail.
The competition is open for students who are studying LLB three year or five-year course during the current academic year.

TEAM COMPOSITION: –
Each team should consist of a minimum of 2 and maximum of 3 members. This number cannot be modified under any circumstances.
There shall be 2 speakers and 1 researcher designated for each team. The researcher shall be allowed to argue with prior permission of the court and National Administrator in case of illness of the designated speakers.
Each team will be provided a team code during orientation. Teams should not disclose the identity of their institution; such disclosure shall invite penalties including disqualification. The decision for the same shall be at the discretion of the National Administrator.
REGISTRATION:-
Online registrations are open from 21st February 2022. The teams must register online at https://bit.ly/3pLI1A9
Maximum 64 teams will be registered to participate in the competition on first- come-first serve basis.
Participants will receive an automated system generated acknowledgement on successful submission of registration. Participants will receive an approval as acceptance of their request for participation.
Fee once paid will not be refunded.
Registration fee will be Rs. 600/-
